Let’s eat breakfast. .. Chōshoku o tabemashou. .. 朝食を食べましょう。

On a cultural note, Japanese people are very polite and one should avoid making demands. “I want to ... “ should only be used on rare occasions.

 

As far as grammar goes, both verbs have a stem and endings.

 

泳ぎ .. oyogi .. swim (verb stem)

 

食べ .. tabe .. eat (verb stem)

 

Both verb stems are written with a kanji followed by a hiragana character.
