Sorry, but my first posts is relative to a mistake in a translation example (lesson 109) :

"Kadangi mokykloje ant stalo yra televizorius, ji perka televizorių.
Since in school on the table is a computer, she is buying a computer."

televizorius = TV, computorius = computer !

Mmmm, I'd say kompiuteris is computer.
Remember C in lithuanian sounds like an S.

Yes computer (ordinateur for our new French friend) is kompiuteris in lithuanian. And C is always TS in lithuanian, no mucking with S and K :). Of course there is an obvious mistake in translation.

Oui, bien sûr, c'est un erreur.
Taip žinoma, tai klaida.
Yes, certainly this is a mistake.

Heh, I can show off my not so good French skills now :) And BTW I am learning French now, and from Lithuanian's point of view, the English is much easier, and although French has some gramatical similarities with Lithuanian, gender for example, still the feel of the language is completely different. The pronouns and verbs give me the creeps :)

I don't understand, c = ?

c = [s] ?
c = [ts] ?
or c = [k] and [s] ?

english is easier because there is not conjugation in english
and english is easy to write but not to speak

PS : if you need help with french verbs http://www.la-conjugaison.fr/ :lol:

c=[ts]

One and only.

If the french verb conjugation would be the only hard thing in French, French would be very easy to learn :)

I don't know, I can't say how difficult it is, I always knew it. :wink:

But it's true that there are a lot of exceptions, all is exception in fact. :lol:

This is going a little out of topic, but: languages are not difficult. They may be more difficult for certain speakers of certain languages, as we discussed here http://www.debeselis.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=131

Atsiprašau už klaidą. Ten tikrai turi būti kompiuteris, o ne televizorius :oops:
Sorry for the mistake. There really has to be computer, but not TV.
